Salesian Work Today

Today the Salesians are involved in many different works accross the globe.

In the UK the Salesians have communities of priests and brothers in several different parts of the country engaged in a variety of work.

Bollington

As well as Savio House the Salesians also run the local parish of St Gregory

Bootle

Here we have a large high school - Savio High - and are also engaged in parish work

Glasgow

The Salesians (alongside the Salesian Sisters and the Daughters of Charity) are responsible for the running of the parishes of St Clare and St Benedict in Easterhouse

Bolton

Here we have a large secondary school and one of the two homes for elderly and retired Salesians

Stockport

This is the provincial house where from where all of the work is organised

Battersea

Battersea was the first place that the Salesians worked in England and we maintain a strong presence with the local parish of Sacred Heart and a high school

Chertsey

Here the Salesians are responsible for running the local parish and have another large high school

Cowley

The Salesians run the parish of Our lady Help of Christians

Farnborough

The second of the homes for the elderly Salesians is here and the Salesians also run three local parishes and a secondary school. Farnborough is also the home of the Salesian formation community and novitiate.
